Search for an Externship

Students may access the Externship Database, which provides details about the individual sponsoring agencies. The information includes: a description of the extern’s work at the agency or court, contact information, application deadlines, requested materials, and any necessary prerequisites. You will also be able to search for a particular sponsor by location or type of law. Please note that you must be a current student to log in to the database.

International agencies are separate from the searchable database below.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING!

The In-House/Goverment Seminar and Judicial Seminars are now filled for spring 2018. Students can no longer apply to in-house, goverment agency, and judicial externships for credit but may apply as an intern (for no credit) if the site allows. Students who have already contacted the Externship Program Office regarding placements in these categories and are in the process of applying have a spot reserved in one of these seminars; students with in-house/government or judicial offers and have already contacted the Externship Program Office have a spot reserved in the seminar. There is still space in the Judicial Olympia Seminar, Legislative Seminar, Civil Seminar, Criminal Seminar, and International Seminar.

These sites have confirmed they are filled or not accepting applications for Spring 2018.
