Kathy KimFor Class of 2017 graduates, 83 percent are working (as of March 15, 2018, which is the employment cut-off date utilized by the ABA). Of those employed, 76.5 percent are in careers for which bar membership is required or anticipated and 17 percent are in positions for which a JD provides an advantage (these include full-time, part-time, long-term, and short-term positions); 48.5 percent work at law firms; 19 percent in business; 16 percent in government; 9 percent in public interest; and 6 percent in judicial clerkships; and 1.5 percent in education
