Seattle University School of Law

Submitting an Event or Announcement

All events at the law school must be calendared through the Event Administration staff. Space for classes and events in Sullivan Hall is at a premium, so to avoid conflicts and to ensure that space is available, organizers are required to submit an event request no less than three weeks prior to the event date. Major conferences, receptions, and dinners require additional notice. Law school events that take place in another building on campus must also be scheduled through our staff. Catering at the law school also must be channeled through Event Administration.

Sullivan Hall classroom and event space is available for School of Law academic and student organization sponsored events. Please review the information page for planning student activities. Student organizations coordinate their events through the Assistant Director for Student Life, Fé Lopez, at 206.398.4101 or by e-mail at lopezf@seattleu.edu. All other requests should be directed to the Event Administration Office.

Students, faculty and staff may submit event and announcement requests to the Sullivan Docket and School of Law Web calendar via the LawXite utility by clicking the link below. A login screen (pictured below) will prompt for a username and password, for which you must simply enter your Seattle University login information.

Log in to submit an event or announcement request

Before submitting your event, first check the master calendar to make sure the event has not already been posted. If you would like to provide additional information or a photo to be added to an event already on the calendar, contact Rebecca Parker at parkerr@seattleu.edu.

Once logged in, you will be presented with the LawXite Overview page, from which you may choose the event submission form or the announcement submission form.

Event and announcement requests submitted via the LawXite will be directed to Event Administration staff for approval. Please note, your submission will not be posted immediately. Thus, it is important to submit your requests in advance. Announcements are typically limited to one week of rotation on the Sullivan Docket.
