Welcome to the Student Bar Association!

The Student Bar Association (SBA) functions as the student government of the law school. All law students are members of the SBA and are entitled to enjoy the benefits of SBA membership.

In addition to representing the voice of the student body, the SBA is the parent organization of the law school’s student organizations. The SBA also sponsors and co-sponsors a variety of events and programs throughout the year, and is responsible for the publication of the law school’s weekly student newspaper, the Prolific Reporter.

SBA Highlights

SBA 411: The SBA is proud to announce an online tool, SBA 411, that makes it very easy for you to contact student organization leaders, report problems, and communicate with the appropriate Dean or administrative staff.

SBA Message Board: Looking to carpool? Have books or study guides to sell? Looking for a roommate? Need advice? Take a spin through the SBA Message Board.

SBA 1L Survival Guide: Are you a 1L in desperate need of advice? The SBA 1L Survival Guide answers some of the most common first-year questions.

Student Organizations: Networking opportunities aside, you are more likely to enjoy law school if you get involved (yes, you can spare an hour a week). The SBA supports a large number of active student organizations, one of which is sure to catch your attention (and if not, let us know – we’ll help you get a new one off the ground).

Prolific Reporter: Is something on your mind? The Prolific Reporter is a weekly student-driven, submission-based newspaper that comments on school life, world events, and comedic topics important to Seattle University law students.
